Banksia Tigers Football Club

Banksia Tigers Football Club is more than just a place to play football – we’re a community club dedicated to bringing people together, promoting health and well-being, and supporting social causes. Our commitment extends beyond the field, where we focus on providing opportunities for skill development, building strong bonds, and fostering an inclusive environment for everyone. Through a variety of community initiatives, Banksia Tigers seeks to make a positive impact on the lives of our players, their families, and the greater community.

We believe that a football club has the potential to drive change, inspire young people, and address important issues that affect us all. From youth camps to health awareness programs, Banksia Tigers is proud to contribute to the well-being and growth of our local community.

Below are some of the key programs we have proudly developed and hosted to support and engage our community.

Youth Girls Camp

Our annual Youth Girls Camp is an empowering experience designed specifically for young female players. The camp offers a safe and supportive environment where girls can develop their football skills, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. Led by experienced female coaches, the program includes skill sessions, teamwork activities, and motivational talks to inspire young girls to pursue their passions both on and off the field. By encouraging participation and fostering a positive space, we aim to be a leading force in promoting female youth engagement in sports within our district.

Heartbeat of Football Awareness and Education Campaign

Banksia Tigers is proud to partner with Heartbeat of Football, an organization committed to preventing heart-related incidents in sporting communities. Last year, Heartbeat of Football hosted an awareness and education campaign at our home ground, providing our players, families, and supporters with crucial information on heart health. Through proactive testing and education sessions, they emphasized the importance of early detection and the role of defibrillators in saving lives.

Heartbeat of Football’s mission—zero heart-related deaths at football grounds in Australia—aligns closely with our commitment to the well-being of our community. By supporting these initiatives, Banksia Tigers helps raise awareness about cardiac health, ensuring our club members are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe on and off the field.

Bullying Awareness Campaigns

Banksia Tigers believes in promoting respect, kindness, and inclusion both within and outside of our club. To address the serious issue of bullying, we have implemented Bullying Awareness Campaigns that emphasize the importance of creating safe spaces for all members. Through educational sessions, discussions, and club-wide initiatives, we aim to teach our players the value of empathy, understanding, and standing up against bullying. These campaigns are part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a welcoming environment that extends beyond the soccer field and into the lives of our players and their communities.

Drug Awareness Programs

Recognizing the challenges that young people face today, Banksia Tigers is dedicated to supporting the health and safety of our youth. Our Drug Awareness Programs are designed to educate young players on the risks associated with substance abuse and to empower them to make informed, positive choices. By collaborating with health professionals and local organizations, we provide informative sessions that encourage open dialogue and equip participants with the knowledge they need to avoid harmful behaviors. This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a healthy, supportive community where our players can grow and thrive.

Through these initiatives and many others, Banksia Tigers Football Club remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those around us. We look forward to continuing to serve as a positive influence and resource for our community, both on and off the field.
